The project
The Felix Schoeller Group is a manufacturer of specialized paper, in particular photograph, decorative, non-woven, and dimensionally stable paper.
Worldwide, the company supplies about 1,800 customers in 65 countries and achieves a turnover of more than EUR 900 million with the help of more than 3,700 employees.
In the course of the project, a coal-fired boiler for steam generation was replaced by a new (peak-load) gas-fired boiler for the company's own power plant, which can be activated flexibly and highly efficiently during peak loads.
This means that approx. 2000 tonnes of CO2 emissions can be reduced annually.
